Dresden Travel Guide

Dresden as we know it is perhaps most well known for the fine porcelain it produces. But there’s more to this city than just Dresden China. If you want a peep into what East Germany was like, Dresden is the place to visit. Most of the beautiful Baroque buildings in the city were bombed out during WWII, but a massive reconstruction programme has seen the Dresden’s skyline regaining a bit of its past glory.

But don't let that dissuade you from visiting. Dresden is bound to keep you enthralled with its wonderfully historic museums, idyllic gardens and it's light-hearted atmosphere.

Dresden is known for its porcelain - this is the place where you get the most beautiful porcelain figurines and china. So go buy some!

Dresden has Hygiene Museum – a first of its kind actually – so visit it!
