Did you know? The word ‘cologne’ that denotes scented toilet water has its origins in Germany and not France – it gets its name from the German city of Köln, where ‘cologne’ has been made since the early 18th century.
While in Cologne you must visit the Roman-German Museum that houses exclusive Roman antiquities from the first through fourth centuries. There is also a 230 foot long mosaic showing Dionysus, the Roman god of wine.
