Every serious scholar’s Mecca, the university town of Oxford stands at the confluence of two rivers- the Thames and the Cherwell, and is known primarily for its colleges, although it offers a lot besides degrees and doctorates.

A town with a personality, Oxford is where historic chapels and world class colleges exist in tandem with lively pubs and verdant parks - students throng the cobbled streets in the mornings rushing from one class to the other while others simply lounge in the wonderfully manicured quads of their college premises and get into serious discussion over Shakespeare or what have you.

Where is the University?? Well, there is no “Oxford University” in Oxford. The 39 colleges and the related buildings in Oxford are together known as University. Therefore do not waste your time looking for the University as you are sure to not come across the building!!
