How to Get to Sharm El Sheikh by Air The Sharm El Sheikh Airport is the city’s main airport. It is just 20 minutes from the city centre, near Ras Nasrani and is used by both national and international flights. The airport has 2 terminals from which frequent flights to/from Cairo and some international destinations like Belgium, Switzerland, London, Germany and Poland. Egypt Air is the only airline for local flights.
Airport Facilities
Airport facilities include Banks and currency exchange desks along with information desks. You can grab a bite from one of the various cafes, restaurants and snack bars. If you want to do some last minute shopping there are several shops at the airport including souvenir shops, bookstores and a duty free shop.
The airport offers limited facilities for the disabled. Wheel chairs are available but for further assistance inform your airline while booking.
Also the car park is located just outside the terminal.
Regular and tourist taxis are easily available at the airport to get you to your destination. The tourist taxis charge more as compared to the regular ones and the regular ones rarely go by meter.
Mini buses are also available but only leave once they are full. You can also rent a car at the airport as all major car renting companies have desks there.
By Sea
A number of international ferry services connect Sharm el-Sheikh to other destinations. The small harbor of Sharm el Moiya is located near the civil Harbor.

How to Get to Sharm El Sheikh by Rail There are no trains that run to Sharm el-Sheikh.

How to Get to Sharm El Sheikh by Bus There are daily buses that run from Eilat (Israel) via Nuweiba and Dahab and from Cairo. East Delta buses and Superjet buses that run from Cairo approximately take 8 hrs and six hrs respectively. Enjoy the beautiful landscape throughout your way.

Getting Around Sharm El Sheikh You will find a number of blue and white tuk-tuk’s (small buses) that will take you all around the place. These are the best mode of transportation when compared with taxis which are relatively expensive. Hyundai and Chevrolet are the models that will drive you in form of taxis in the city. Most of the taxis do not use meters which is actually against the law. Be prepared to insist that they use meters or negotiate on the price before you get in one.
