Shopping in Croatia

If you’re going to Croatia, and you want to shop, look out for their handicrafts- Samobor crystal, ceramics and you get some fine traditional pottery and fancy porcelain too; leather work and lace - Pag lace is particularly good and famed throughout the region. All of them make excellent souvenirs to carry back home.

The other good product which is worth buying is Croatian wine-the country produces some of the best wine in East Europe, and there’s a wide range available. Amongst the prime wines are Burgundac, Grasevina, White Muscat, Pinot, Cabernet, and Opolo. If you’re looking for something more robust, try the native brandies- distilled from walnuts, plums, and other fruit. So take home some taste of Croatia, one that’ll bring memories back - Pag cheese is especially well known and makes a good buy.
