Getting Around
Domestic flights link Croatia’s capital, Zagreb, to four other cities in the country- Dubrovnik, Pula, Split and Skopje. If you don’t mind going slower, but want to economise, try trains or buses- both are good value for money; buses, especially, are very good and with an excellent network. Within cities, there are buses and taxis to be hired, or (and this is definitely more convenient) you can rent a car- there are a number of car rental companies, at least in the major cities, including international ones. Between the many islands of Croatia, you can travel by the frequent ferries, or hire a boat- both make for some unforgettable pleasantly experiences.
