Best Time to Visit Canary Islands

This is one place where the calendar can’t dictate terms to you! Go whenever you like – the place is great all year round. December to February is the islands’ busiest months and thus the most expensive. This is when winter sets in and it is cooler. The best airfares are offered from mid November to December, and again from March to May (with the exception of the Easter week).

Climate

The climate here is the biggest draw for European visitors, but wherever you are coming from you’ll love the constant spring climate here. The temperature swings merely from 24°C (75°F) in summer to 18°C (64°F) in winter. You won’t get much rain here except along the northern coasts. The northern islands have a subtropical climate while the southern areas are dry and warm. In the summer beware of hot and dusty winds that blow across the African mainland and onto the Canaries.
