Irresistible, delicious steaks and prime ribs are big here -not surprising if you consider that Calgary was the epicentre of the cattle trade for years. Catch the Alberta Ballet performances at the Jubilee Auditorium and the Calgary Philharmonic orchestra at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. For celebrity performances, the Canadian Airlines Saddledome is your best bet.

Nightlife in Calgary is exciting, varied and with plenty of attributes from its cow-town days. There are plenty of saloons and bars where you can dance to Western and country tunes. Jazz and blues lovers can find more of their tribe at the various jazz and blues clubs!
