Accommodation is likely to make a dent in your holiday budget. You’ll get the works for places to stay, but it’s not light on the pocket. Be prepared to spend about US$ 200 or more, a night, at any of the swanky establishments on the west coast.
Most of the hotels are located on the south or west coast, which are home to some of the best beaches. The south coast offers cheaper accommodations, which is not inversely related to the hygiene level. It is also possible to rent villas.
Some of the popular choices for deluxe accommodation are The Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel, St. Peters Bay, Crystal Cove by Elegant Hotel and Hilton Barbados.
If you’re on the lookout for mid range accommodation, set your budget for US$60 – 100 a night. For the budget traveler, guesthouses are good option. Dover Beach Hotel, All Seasons Resort, The Palms Resort, Tamarind by Elegant Hotels and Almond Beach Village are some of the mid range hotels in Barbados. There is also the option of the all-inclusive package that covers everything from accommodation to travel and sometimes even water sports. Very convenient, the flip side it that it restricts individual explorations. Camping is not allowed.
