Introduction
| LIECHTENSTEIN
|
If someone
doesnt point it out to you, youll have visited and left Liechtenstein, never
noticing youd made your way in and out of this country, the size of a nail. When you
are frazzled with the frenetic pace of life, look no further than this tiny country that
manages to pack river valleys and the Alps into one experience! Sip great wines in cool
alpine air, nest in the inns tucked up in a white, quiet paradise or ski down the slopes
in splendid isolation - you'll find the peace you've come looking for. |

You'll probably be amused by the
toytown quality of the capital city, Vaduz. Almost bursting at the seams with its many
glossy, glassy banks, Vaduz isn't quite the sightseers' paradise though it has seen many
fortunes built in its numbered accounts! It has one of the world's most famous private art
collections inherited and added to by its monarch. There is no public access to His
Highness' castle perched on the hillside but you'll be charmed by its medieval, almost
fairy tale presence. |
| A tax haven, bankers
delight and mountain paradise, Liechtenstein reinforces the claim that small is beautiful. |
