A tropical island
on the Caribbean Coast of Mexico, Cancun was a relatively unknown fishing island till the
late 1960s when the Mexican government developed it into the exotic resort that it is
today. The island itself is a naturally selected tropical paradise with gorgeous beaches
and lagoons and shores that are washed with the most brilliant shades of aqua. This
splendour is offset by ultra-modern luxuries and cultural and man-made attractions that
make Cancun a coveted tourist destination.
