Kuwait
City, the capital of the State of Kuwait, is peaceful and tolerant unlike many
neighbouring Middle Eastern capitals. Not quite the happening place in this part of the
world but hospitable to the visitor. Kuwait City was damaged in the conflict with Iraq and
a lot of restoration work has made it what it is today, a mass of polished high-rises,
green gardens, luxury hotels, spicy souks, gold galleries and beautiful boulevards. It
isn't a destination that will feature in your must visit list but if you happen
to be there it is a pleasurable experience.
