Intimidating like any other major urban centre, Guate City can put off any tourist looking for some peace and quiet. Heaving buses, noisy vendors, crowded pavements enveloped in fumes, it doesn’t sound like a destination that would figure any where in your itinerary. But the occasional colonial architecture and interesting museums make up for the drawbacks. On the whole, Guate City is short on sights to admire and is more of a transit point to travel to the rest of the country.
