Nagoya is
Japan’s fourth largest city, and a surprisingly unpretentious one at that. It lays no
claims to the sheer administrative importance of Tokyo or the cultural richness and
historicity of Kyoto; it does not try to emulate the commercial prowess of Osaka.
That’s the main reason why Nagoya isn’t overrun by millions of tourists. If you
like quiet places- places where you can see Japan as it actually is- then you ought to go
to this city, which apart from being very hospitable is also easy to get to.
